Old school bodybuilding myths you used to believe?
Im in Maidenhead for the weekend at shows and need entertaining so everyone, please put in your best bodybuilding myths that you used to follow…
Sick video fellas! 100% agree it very much comes down to the individuals response to thc in an acute setting as to whether its beneficial or not
Something I’ve been looking into recently is the research in chronic long term use on brain health and the potential link to brain disorders (Alzheimer’s and dementia specifically) the data on thc is somewhat conflicting but most studies are leaning toward thc having a negative effect long term, i’m not certain whether it does or doesn’t yet but definitely something I think that’s worth mentioning
In everyday people I’d assume unless the genetic predisposition is there already it’s unlikely for it to be a concern but in enhanced bodybuilders who are already taking substances that carry some degree of neurotoxicity it may be something to think about
It Hasn’t stopped me using 2-3x/week, but definitely changed my mindset to it being “harmless” and led me to try and implement protocols alongside to mitigate potential harm
Nice vid boys, and the most important aspect you mentioned is the inter-individuality. Much like gear, alcohol, caffeine, etc, we all react differently. No matter how beneficial it seems to someone else, ultimately these chemicals affect your brain, and depending on how your brain is naturally will determine how you are affected by adding in a drug. It’s pointless to fight against this, if it works don’t fix it, and if it doesn’t then it’s not an option. And this is from someone who smoked all day for 8 years (and not much else) and hasn’t touched for 15 years as my brain chemistry reacted in unfavourable ways and it does more harm than good. But if you enjoy it and it helps with your goals, enjoy!
